Former S.C. State Rep. pleads guilty to unlawful communication, other misconduct charges dismissed

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A former South Carolina state representative has pleaded guilty to a misconduct charge, per court records.

Richard Ansel “Rick” Martin pleaded guilty on Tuesday to unlawful communication by cellphone after July 20, 2021.

His other two charges for misconduct in office and contributing to the delinquency of a minor were dismissed.
