Columbia-area Walmart cleared after evacuation, bomb threat

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A Columbia-area Walmart has been cleared after being evacuated Friday morning after reports of a bomb threat being called in.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department told WIS it received a call around 9 a.m. in reference to a third party who heard remarks concerning an explosive device at the Two Notch location.

RCSD’s Special Response Team, drone units, and bomb team responded to the location. The building was cleared of any threat and was turned over to the store manager to resume normal operations…
