WIC to cover only store brand or lowest-cost milk starting Dec. 8

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Public Health announced that beginning December 8, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program will only cover the cost of store brand milk or the lowest-cost milk option available.

Officials said that the change applies only to milk purchases and does not affect infant formula benefits.
