DSS seeks funding for SC childcare, foster care improvements

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The South Carolina Department of Social Services is requesting state funding to improve childcare access, foster care placements, and food access programs for lower-income residents as part of its budget proposal for next year.

Child welfare remains a top priority for DSS, with the agency seeking money to address rising costs across its programs.
