Brief cool down Monday, warmth returns into Christmas

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) — A light southerly breeze ahead of this afternoon’s cold front has helped temperatures warm into the mid-60s.

This working through this afternoon is a dry front, so rain isn’t expected, just an increase in clouds at times through this evening.

Behind the front, cooler air settles in for tonight and Monday afternoon, with highs dropping back into the mid-50s.

The cool-down won’t last long, though. Highs rebound into the low 60s Tuesday, then warm into the lower 70s from Christmas Eve through Saturday.

Christmas Day itself looks warm and dry, with highs around 73, making for great travel weather…
