LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) β As the weekend draws to a close, South Carolina enters one of it’s busiest travel weeks of the year, with many residents hitting the road for Christmas vacation. Whether that travel destination includes a warm sunny beach or snowy ski slopes, drivers can at least look forward to a significant price drop at the pump.
According to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,028 stations in South Carolina, gas prices have fallen 11.2 cents per gallon in the last week. The new average cost of gas is $2.46 per gallon Monday, which is 26.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 26.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
