LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) – Tucked away on Fox Street off Highway 378 sits a property that tells the story of how Lexington began.
The Lexington County Museum features dozens of unique buildings that make up a neighborhood of the county’s original descendants.
“The earliest building we have is a log cabin constructed in 1771 owned by Laurance Corley,” said J.R. Fennell, director of the Lexington County Museum. “He is significant for a number of reasons, including being the ancestor of all the Corleys in Lexington, which there are a large number, and he owned what is now the town of Lexington.”…
