COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) — Families displaced by a fire at a sister property of Copperfield Apartments received a heartwarming surprise just in time for Christmas.
Two weeks ago, a fire left 27 people without a home, including ten children who lost everything. John Black, community manager of Copperfield Apartments, described the traumatic scene captured by a doorbell camera, saying,
Just hearing the screams and of the trauma, the video itself was traumatic because there’s fire overhead and you have these kids 12 and under literally running under this ball of fire above them.”…
