COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) reported three new cases of measles, bringing the total number of cases related to the Upstate outbreak to 156.
Officials said the three new cases are a result from a previously reported school exposure.

Of the 156 cases, 34 are reported to be under the age of 5, 104 are reported to be between the ages of 5 and 17, and 18 are reported to be over the age of 18. 148 of the cases are unvaccinated, three were partially vaccinated, one was vaccinated, and four remain unknown.
As of Friday December 26, 252 people are currently in quarantine and three remain in isolation. The expected end date for quarantine is January 15.
