WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. — Residents whose criminal records are affecting their ability to find employment, housing or public benefits will have the opportunity to receive free legal assistance during a Record Expungement Fair on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brookland Baptist Church’s Health & Wellness Center, located at 1046 Sunset Blvd. in West Columbia.
Attorneys and legal professionals will meet one-on-one with attendees to determine eligibility for expungements and answer questions about South Carolina criminal records.
The schedule includes check-in and intake from 8:30 to 9 a.m., followed by an expungement and pardon presentation from 9 to 10 a.m. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., attorneys will conduct expungement reviews and eligibility processing through one-on-one meetings on a first-come, first-served basis…
