South Carolina’s new license plate sparks Revolutionary War debate

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) — South Carolina’s new state license plate is causing some debate. It reads “Where the Revolutionary War Was Won” and will replace the current plate that says “While I Breathe, I Hope.”

That statement has sparked a conversation if South Carolina is truly where that war was won or if it was Yorktown, Virginia.
