COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The Columbia Police Department said that one man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer Monday.
Wesley L. Haltiwanger, 64, was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer while resisting arrest, threatening the life of a public official, failure to stop on police command, unlawfully in the roadway and aggressive begging that obstructed traffic.
According to court records, Haltiwanger has received similar charges in the past.
