ELGIN, S.C. — The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Tuesday afternoon shooting that left one person injured.
Deputies responded to a call of a shooting on Goings Lane in Elgin around 3 p.m. January 20. Arriving at the scene, deputies located an injured adult male victim. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital for medical treatment and was able to identify the suspected shooter.
The victim told deputies he had gone to the location to collect a debt from the suspect when a physical altercation occurred, ending with the victim being shot in the shoulder. The alleged shooter left the scene before deputies arrived…
