Four-star Texas wide receiver picks up South Carolina offer

South Carolina offensive coordinator/quarterbacks Kendal Briles has been on a recruiting tour of the state of Texas in recent days. With 13 years of experience coaching in the Lone Star State, he has relationships all over the state, and he has extended several offers in recent days. One of these offers came through for class of 2027 four-star Tyler (TX) wide receiver Trey Haralson.

Haralson announced his offer on Tuesday on social media. He is very familiar with Briles from his time at TCU. The Horned Frogs were one of the top contenders in his recruitment in the fall, along with the Texas Longhorns, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ole Miss Rebels, LSU Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, Arizona State Sun Devils, and Tennessee Volunteers.

The connection to Briles is intriguing, as the veteran playcaller helped TCU receiver Eric McCalister (a receiver who plays a similar style of game) to 1190 yards and 10 touchdowns last fall…
