A woman once praised as “Teacher of the Year” has proven to be anything but, after being arrested for allegedly punching a child, according to law enforcement in the Palmetto State. 34-year-old South Carolina woman Erin Wheeler is accused of one count of unlawful neglect of a child.
Wheeler works as a special education teacher at South Carolina Whitmore School, which is an online charter high school in Columbia.
