Transitions Homeless Center, located at 2025 Main St. in Columbia, has announced that it’s Day Center will operate as a warming shelter this weekend in an effort to provide a safe, dry space for individuals experiencing homelessness.
The Day Center will remain open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and will provide meals as well as access to hot showers.
Transitions is coordinating with City of Columbia officials and Rapid Shelter Columbia Overflow to provide additional shelter capacity as needed…
