COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol will extend shifts and deploy additional units Saturday and Sunday to provide more assistance on the roads as storm preparation continues around the state.
Patrol vehicles will be stocked with emergency equipment to help with roadside issues. Drivers are asked to check oil and tire pressure before heading out and avoid using cruise control, as hydroplaning could be more likely.
