CHARLESTON, S.C. (WSAV) – Nancy Lacore made headlines as a Navy admiral released from her position by a new defense secretary looking to make his mark on the service in early 2025.
“I was one year into a what is typically a four-year position serving as chief of Navy Reserve,” said LaCore. “When I was removed from my position by Pete Hegseth. I was not provided with notice. So, I had to come up with a new plan. We fortunately had a home down here in South Carolina, and we rapidly had to move down here to the home that we planned to retire in.”
