The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Kevan Johnson, 34, with misconduct in office on Jan. 23.
During his time as an officer, Johnson used his access to the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) database multiple times to improperly obtain the personal address of another party. Johnson then showed up at the other party’s residence to confront them about a personal matter.
According to the arrest report, “Probable cause was obtained through statements from the defendant and a SCDMV Web Activity Inquiry.”…
