COLUMBIA, S.C. — American Airlines will restart nonstop service between Columbia and Chicago this spring, giving Midlands travelers another direct connection to a major hub.
The airline announced it will resume twice-daily service from Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) beginning May 21, 2026. The route will operate seven days a week and will be flown on an Embraer 170 regional jet, which seats 65 passengers and includes a First-Class cabin.
