Vehicle does donuts, knocks down crosses at Lexington County church

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Deputies in Lexington County are investigating vandalism at a church along Leaphart Road after authorities say a vehicle was used to damage the property.

According to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon at New Heritage Church, located at 3109 Leaphart Road.

Deputies say a vehicle drove onto the church’s front lawn, leaving deep tire tracks in the grass and damaging the landscaping. Two of the three wooden crosses displayed outside the church were also knocked to the ground…
