Columbia family honors teenage son’s memory on what would have been his 17th birthday as trial nears

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The parents of Cyrus Carmack-Belton honored their son’s memory and legacy on what would have been his 17th birthday, choosing to focus on who he was rather than how he died.

Carmack-Belton was 14 when he was gunned down near Rick Chow’s gas station and convenience store on Parklane Road on May 28, 2023.

Chow is scheduled to go to trial for Carmack-Belton’s murder in four months…
