CHEROKEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The closing of Limestone University last spring affected the future of 13 charter schools across the state, with three charter schools unable to find new authorizers to keep schools open.
“This didn’t come as a result of anything negative that the Limestone Charter Association was doing or not doing. As a matter of fact, it was a fairly newer charter authorizer in South Carolina,” said Kevin Mason, Executive Director of the Public Charter School Alliance of South Carolina.
