SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WBTV) – A large Confederate flag that flew over I-85 in South Carolina has been taken down.
The flag did fly at the end of Teaberry Road in the Spartanburg area, right where I-85 and I-85 Business split. A patch of trees was between the interstate and flagpole.
Sister-station WHNS reported that the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp #68 put up the 120-foot-tall flag pole on property it owned, making the flag visible from the interstate, high above the trees.
