Driver who died in Calks Ferry Road crash on Friday identified

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities have released the name of a driver who died in a Friday afternoon crash involving two trucks in Lexington County.

Corporal Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 5:20 p.m. on Calks Ferry Road near Liberty Hill Road. Pye said a 2018 Ford pickup truck was heading west on Calks Ferry Road when it crossed the center line and struck a 2025 Toyota pickup truck before running off the road and hitting a tree.
