New Columbia program offers housing bridge for homeless young women

COLUMBIA S.C. (WACH) — More than 16,000 children in South Carolina dealt with homelessness during the 2023-2024 school year, according to the 2025 South Carolina State of Homelessness Report.

In Columbia, a new transitional living program is now offering resources aimed at helping young women move from homelessness to independence.
