Forest Acres is about to get fresh with the newest arrival on the restaurant scene. It was first announced in August of 2025 that Chopt Creative Salad Co. would be coming to Trenholm Plaza. Since then, lots has been going on behind the scenes of Suite 16 at 4840 Forest Drive to prepare for the fast-casual restaurant chain’s first location in the state.
Originally founded in New York in 2001, Chopt’s mission is to make healthy eating exciting for all people. According to community marketing specialist Natalia Escalon of the Chopt parent company Founders Table, nourishing customers through meals made with care is what they aim to accomplish. “We know that what goes into each salad is as important as the final product,” she said.
Best known for their signature salads, the restaurant offers options like the Santa Fe, classic Cobb, Mexican Caesar and Southwestern steak. Warm bowls and wraps are also available, as well as house made sandwiches featuring housemade dressing, which the Forest Drive Chopt will be one of the first locations to offer…
