COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — Volunteers with Kroger braved rainy weather in Columbia to help fight student hunger at Benedict College by restocking the school’s food pantry and organizing donations for students who rely on it each week.
Kroger partnered with Benedict College for the second annual “Pack the Pantry” drive. As part of its Zero Hunger initiative, the company donated $5,000 worth of groceries to the Tiger Shop food pantry.
