South Carolina pastor shelters in Jerusalem as sirens send group to bunkers

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A group of pastors taking part in a Bible study trip in Jerusalem is now sheltering in place, including a couple from South Carolina’s capital city.

Pastor Wes Church and his wife, Rachel, of First Baptist Church of Columbia, traveled to Jerusalem with about 30 other pastors and their wives for what was meant to be a time of reflection in the Holy Land.

Instead, their visit has turned into what they describe as a tense waiting game, with sirens sending them into bunkers multiple times…
