RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) – A Richland County man who killed his neighbor with a pickaxe will now spend more than four decades in prison.
Brayden Pittman pleaded guilty to murder on Feb. 24, according to the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office. Prosecutors said Monday that Pittman was later sentenced to 45 years in prison.
Authorities say in February 2023, Pittman killed his 87-year-old neighbor in the Little Mountain area of Richland County. He used a pickax to hit her from behind as she walked her dog. That night, Pittman tried to break into her home.
