Quick-thinking store employee prevents scam that could have cost couple $5,000

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is recognizing a local grocery store assistant manager for stepping in and stopping a scam.

Law enforcement says her quick actions saved a woman from losing $5,000 in bitcoin.
