Sutter’s go-ahead blast helps South Carolina complete doubleheader sweep

After trailing or being tied all night, Logan Sutter finally put South Carolina ahead for good with a single swing of the bat.

With one out in the eighth inning, Sutter launched a solo home run into the visitor’s bullpen, breaking a 3-3 tie and securing a 4-3 win over Princeton, completing a Saturday doubleheader sweep for the Gamecocks.

Sutter had a standout day across both games, finishing a combined 3-for-7 with two homers — one in each contest — and four RBI. He’s now hitting .353 on the year…
