Increased law enforcement patrols planned across Midlands roads this weekend

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Drivers traveling through parts of the Midlands this weekend may notice a larger law enforcement presence on several major roadways.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol announced that from 6 a.m. March 12 through 6 a.m. March 15, officers and troopers will take part in a multi-agency Area Coordinated Enforcement (ACE) initiative aimed at reducing collisions and highway fatalities.
