Columbia, SC – National Weather Service survey teams have confirmed four tornadoes touched down across South Carolina during Thursday’s severe storms, including two EF-0 tornadoes in the Midlands with wind speeds reaching up to 80 mph.

According to the National Weather Service in Columbia, one tornado touched down near Ridge Spring in Saluda County at 9:18 a.m. Thursday, producing peak winds near 80 mph.
