Know before you go: St. Pat’s in Five Points

St. Pat’s in Five Points is one of Columbia’s biggest (and greenest) events of the year, and with five stages for live music, a mocktail lounge, VIP experiences available and fun for the whole family at the Pot O’ Gold Playland, the festival brings a little bit of everything — and a lot of luck — to Columbia.

However you’re celebrating, here’s what you need to know before you go so that you can stay safe and be prepared to party.

Festival Policies

  • Children under 12 will be admitted to the festival for free as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • St. Pat’s in Five Points is a cashless festival. Ticket sales at festival gates, as well as St Pat.’s in Five Points Official Beverage Stations and St. Pat’s Irish Alley, will be credit card only. Some individual vendors may accept cash.
  • Festival goers will be allowed to bring in one empty, clear water bottle. Hydration stations will be available throughout the festival area.
  • St. Pat’s in Five Points is a rain or shine event, meaning the festival will go on no matter the weather, and tickets will not be refunded. Festival delays due to weather will be communicated to visitors via the St. Pat’s website, social channels and app.
  • The festival has a no pets policy, and has asked that visitors leave their furry, four-legged friends at home.

Security and safety

  • EMS services will be on site at the St. Pat’s festival tent
  • The medical services area can be found at the corner of 700 Harden Street and Santee Avenue. Columbia Police, EMS, yellow-jacket security personnel, festival staff members or anyone with a radio will assist in seeking medical help.‍
  • Lost and found items should be brought to the festival information tent, and will be held there for 14 days after the festival.
  • St. Pat’s in Five Points enforces a clear bag policy, and all bags are subject to search upon entry.

Parking and transportation

  • Parking at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds is available, where shuttle services will bring festival goers to Five Points.
  • St. Pat’s in Five Points is encouraging visitors to use ride shares, with a designated drop off location at the intersection of Laurens Street and Blossom Street.
