Augusta, Georgia –Drivers across eastern Georgia and central South Carolina could face sudden severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon as a fast-moving storm system pushes toward the I-20 corridor with the potential for tornado warnings and damaging wind gusts.
According to the NOAA Storm Prediction Center, much of Georgia and South Carolina falls within a Level 2 to Level 3 severe storm risk Monday as a strong upper-level trough sweeps east across the Southeast.
