RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — A company is proposing a new granite mining operation in northern Richland County, and state regulators are now reviewing the permit application.
Heidelberg Materials Southeast has applied for a permit to mine granite at a site off Monticello Road near Burgess Creek. Documents filed with the state label the project as the Manning Quarry.
