Columbia Council’s rezoning could add 300 apartments, businesses near Lake Murray Blvd

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia City Council voted to approve a rezoning that could bring hundreds of new apartments and businesses to a busy corridor near Lake Murray Boulevard.

The plan would transform nearly 10 acres of land along Dutchman Boulevard and Broad River Road from light industrial use into a mixed-use development, allowing both residential and commercial space in a growing part of the city.
