Columbia kicks off affordable housing push with new 80-unit complex

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A new 80-unit affordable housing community near Forest Acres is now open, as Columbia works to address a growing demand for affordable housing across the city.

Addison Pointe offers one- to three-bedroom units and targets working families whose income falls within 20 to 60 percent of the area median income — a category that includes teachers, firefighters, and health care workers. The $20 million project was funded through a combination of federal, state, and local sources.
