Unresponsive person pulled from Richland County house fire, coroner called to scene

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Authorities are investigating after an unresponsive person was pulled from a house fire in Richland County on Friday.

The Columbia-Richland Fire Department said crews responded to a fire on Harmon Road at around 5:40 a.m. The department said firefighters got to the scene and found “fire throughout the home.” Crews were able to get inside through the back and worked to put the fire out.

CRFD said during a search, one person was found unresponsive in a front bedroom and was moved outside. The Richland County Coroner’s Office was later called to the scene…
