Authorities say a man rescued from the Congaree River with help from a fellow boater and several local agencies on Saturday has died.
A spokesperson for the city of Cayce said the call came in around 2 p.m. after a boater reportedly fell in the water. Another boater was able to get that person out of the water and bring them to shore, where first responders performed CPR. The victim was then taken to an area medical facility for treatment.
