Lexington County deputies have arrested Patrick David Esparza, 26, in connection with the March 20 shooting death of Charles Boyd Moore Jr. in West Columbia. Investigators say the two men were seen together just hours before Moore was found shot at a home on Hammond Avenue. Esparza allegedly hid the gun at another home on Grove Street. He was arrested last Friday on a separate weapons charge and remains in the Lexington County Detention Center after a judge denied him bond on March 25. The West Columbia Police Department assisted in the early stages of the investigation.
