A Richland County sheriff’s deputy, Tiffany Anderson, has been fired and arrested after being accused of assault. The 45-year-old deputy was charged with simple assault following an incident on March 23, where deputies responded to a call regarding an assault at a residence on Laurel Bluff Court.

An investigation into the incident revealed that Anderson had struck the victim multiple times during a quarrel, causing injuries. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department released a statement condemning Anderson’s actions.
