RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — A Blythewood couple who say they were wrongly accused of theft, handcuffed and held at gunpoint in front of their children, is set to announce a federal civil rights lawsuit on Wednesday.
Kartrez Rush, his wife, Jasmine Scott, and their three children were driving through Sumter County on their way home from a work function in May 2025 when they claim they were followed and pulled over by a South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper.
