City of Columbia settles lawsuit, pays money to owners of former Constan car wash

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The City of Columbia has settled a lawsuit with the owners of the former Constan Car Wash, a business just outside the Five Points district that claimed the city’s actions ruined their property.

Court documents show the judge accepted the settlement between both sides on Wednesday, April 1. The attorney for the car wash owners told News19 the city paid their side $5 million as part of the settlement.
