WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A Lexington County jury has convicted the suspect in a 2023 West Columbia hotel shooting.
Jonathan Russell Saylor, 36, was found guilty of two counts of attempted murder, shooting into a building while occupied, possession of a machine gun and possession of methamphetamine.
West Columbia Police responded to a reported disturbance at the Hilton Inn and Gardens on McSwain Drive in January 2023. Officers made contact with Saylor, but he refused to leave the hotel room and began threatening officers before shooting into the hotel towards the hallway where law enforcement was standing…
