COLUMBIA, S.C. — A Richland County judge on Friday denied multiple defense motions in the case against Rick Chow, allowing the trial in the 2023 shooting death of a Columbia teenager to move forward as scheduled.
Chow, a convenience store owner, is charged with the death of 14-year-old Cyrus Carmack-Belton, who was shot outside a gas station Chow owned.
