Utility pole downed after semi-truck hits power lines in downtown Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — A semi-truck crashed into a utility pole and hit power lines, causing road closures in downtown Columbia, the Columbia Fire Department said.

The incident happened after the truck was traveling down Hampton Street. Authorities said no injuries were reported.

Pickens Street has since reopened to traffic between Blanding Street and Washington Street…
