Lexington man charged with impersonating officer at middle school, sheriff says

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Deputies have charged a Lexington man with allegedly pretending to be a police officer at a local school.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said that, between 2022 and February of 2026, 41-year-old Christopher Patrick Brewer carried his personal handgun at Beechwood Middle School and presented himself as an officer to enter the school.
