The City of Columbia’s Public Works Department, in collaboration with Soda City and numerous other City departments, will host its fourth annual Touch-A-Truck event at Soda City this Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Providing residents with an opportunity to explore and learn more about some of the City’s largest trucks and heavy equipment, this interactive experience will include backhoe, mini-excavator, and bomb-disposal robot demonstrations, as well as games and other fun activities.
Other City departments, such as the Columbia Police Department, Columbia-Richland Fire Department, City of Columbia Parks & Recreation Department, Columbia Water, and City of Columbia Parking Department have also been invited to place their vehicles on display to help the public become more familiar with the work that they do to keep the City of Columbia thriving…
